Life can be difficult at times, sometimes overwhelming.

We may not trust ourselves to walk the path that is best for us, second-guessing and blocking our innate knowing of what is right and wrong. I work with adults, children and couples, providing a safe environment of warmth and unconditional positive regard, so that each person can have the space to discover who he or she is and what steps are needed to better manage stress and find meaning and purpose in life. I work with those suffering from low self-esteem, trauma, grief, relational and transition issues, chronic pain and addiction.

Distance, not drowning

I use structured as well as collaborative approaches, including those drawn from psychodynamic, client-centered and CBT to improve coping, increase hopefulness and enhance self-confidence. I also utilize principles and techniques from mind-body practices, such as EMDR, Focusing, Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET) and Mindfulness to unblock hidden fears and conflicts which may be contributing to limitations in functioning.

Whether you are experiencing prolonged grief, shame, worry or anger, you are likely drowning in those feelings. When feelings consume you, it is impossible to see your way out.

There are many healthy ways to create distance. We just need to find the ones that are right for you.
